We are currently recruiting for a new Support Worker to join our team based in Ballina to provide domestic assistance (such as cleaning and meal prep), intimate personal care, social support, and implement health and wellbeing initiatives that support our clients. As a Support Worker, you will join our esteemed national team of community services professionals, dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence and well-being.
* This is a permanent part time role - 40hours FN
* Must be available Mon to Fri esp Tuesdays. 8am to 4pm.
* Must be able to travel to and around Ballina, Lennox Head, Skennars Head region
* Domestic Assistance and Social support. (DA heavy).
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of older clients in the Ballina community.
* Providing support to elderly clients to enable them to stay independent in their homes
* Experience variety by visiting clients in their homes within Ballina and covering surrounding areas
* Supporting clients with daily activities and tasks such as cleaning, shopping and, transportation to appointments.
* Monday to Friday | Flexibility is essential |
* Base hourly rate of $30.61
* Travel allowance of $0.99 per km and paid travel between services
* Daily mobile allowance paid when using your own device for work related purposes
Who We’re Looking for :
We are seeking compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others with a key focus to provide high-quality person-centred care across all facets of support services.
To do so you will need to have the following:
* Understanding of and a passion for working with the elderly
* Minimum Certificate III Individual Support (or equivalent) is essential
* Medication assist module is highly desirable
* Ability to work and travel around Ballina and surrounding areas (with travel up to an hour as required)
* Current driver's license
* Registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
* Confidence in using different forms of technology such as a smartphone or tablet
* Flexible approach to your availability and open to being rostered within work hours of 7.00 am - 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday and some weekend shifts/
