These roles are a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer and Superintendent to join our Olive Downs Complex site team.The Project Superintendent for Sustaining Capital Projects will oversee a portfolio of projects at our operating coal mine to maximise value and minimise risk. This senior project management role leads a diverse team comprising of project leads, project engineers, coordinators and supervisors. The primary responsibility is to ensure the successful planning and management of projects throughout their full lifecycle, from initiation to construction, commissioning, and handover. Additionally, the role requires assisting with yearly budget planning, capital prioritisation, and managing the overall performance and reporting of the portfolio against set targets and developing and improving the project framework.The Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering and technical support to a portfolio of sustaining capital projects at our operating coal mine. The role supports the Project Leads to define, optimise, plan and deliver projects through the entire project lifecycle from initiation through to commissioning and handover.As a key link between internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers, you will ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality project execution. This is a site-based role that requires strong engineering, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills to drive the successful delivery of projects.Key ActivitiesProject Delivery – Oversee projects from planning to completion, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and support project teams to achieve successful outcomes.Budget & Planning – Assist in capital planning and ensure cost-effective project execution.Performance & Risk Management – Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement solutions.Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external partners.Contract & Engineering Oversight – Manage contracts, scopes, and engineering consultants to optimise project outcomes.Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance project processes and business performance.Engineering Support – Provide technical expertise and oversee engineering aspects throughout the project lifecycle.Project Planning & Execution – Assist in defining requirements, planning, and delivering capital projects.Quality & Compliance – Develop and implement quality management plans to ensure high standards.Construction & Commissioning – Support construction teams and lead commissioning and handover processes.Risk & Performance Management – Identify risks, track project progress, and implement improvements.Stakeholder Coordination – Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.Professional Skills/Qualifications RequiredMinimum 10 years’ experience in operational and/or project roles, preferably in the mining/resources sector.Preferably holds a qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.Strong analytical skills to assess project performance, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, OR a technical trade background with extensive Project Engineering experience.Personal Skills RequiredProven track record of leading and managing cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders and team members effectively.Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and organisational needs.Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers.Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, site-based environment.Join UsThese roles are site based at our Olive Downs Complex with a flexible roster including regular travel to our new Brisbane office and is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and accomplished Project Superintendent and Project Engineer to join our collaborative team.To apply for one of these roles, please submit your resume and cover letter, specifying the Project role you are interested in.At Pembroke Resources, we believe in fostering a culture of innovation, safety, care and excellence.
