About iSwap: iSwap is TP ICAP's award-winning electronic trading platform for OTC interest rate derivatives, providing advanced trading functionality across Dealer to Dealer and Dealer to Client markets in Interest Rate Swaps. iSwap operates low latency, high-throughput exchange technology for clients including global investment banks and inter-dealer brokers. Role Overview: Development, support, maintenance and administration of the iSwap Trading Platform and associated Infrastructure. Initially based in the Nasdaq Sydney office working with current Nasdaq employees on the iSwap system, the role will eventually be relocated to the TP ICAP Sydney office after a transition period. Role Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain functional and non-functional enhancements to the iSwap XFE Trading UI and associated services Provide Production support for XFE and associated iSwap components when required Document software features and functionality to educate stakeholders and ensure information traceability Optimise performance for speed and efficiency Debug and troubleshoot application issues Support QA team by providing expertise and guidance on new features including assisting with the creation of automated test scripts Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA Analysts and IT Professionals to ensure seamless operation of our software development infrastructure Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environments Integrate automations to improve maintenance and management procedures relating to development infrastructure Debug and troubleshoot software infrastructure issues Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices Support and engage in the Nasdaq-TP ICAP migration project, providing technical support and assistance to migrate all relevant iSwap components from the Nasdaq environment to the TP ICAP environment Experience / Competences: Proficiency in Java, JavaFX, HTML, CSS and Javascript Strong understanding of Memory Management in Java Strong understanding of OOP principles Strong understanding of concurrency Knowledge of UI design principles Experience with issue management software such as Jira Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins Experience with databases such as Postgres Understanding of performance optimisation strategies and techniques Proficiency in Bash and Python Experience managing and maintaining software infrastructure Understand software design and development procedures and methodologies Understand the fundamentals of Computer networking Experience with managing and maintaining the followingLinux Infrastructure Windows Infrastructure Jenkins Database servers, e.g. Postgres Ansible Docker Version control systems such as Git General knowledge of electronic marketplaces and trade flows Good people skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly and concisely, to team members and internal and external stakeholders of all levels Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities Overall, should be confident, enthusiastic and proactive Results driven – Able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scales Professional – Expect to work the hours the job demands Conscientious – Always give 100% to tasks assigned Versatile – Able to multi-task Team Player – Must be able to work with and participate within a large professional team Not The Perfect Fit?
