Who we are looking for We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Counsel to join our team. This ongoing, full-time position comes with a generous salary of $111,857 to $127,436 p.a. plus superannuation.
As our General Counsel, you'll be responsible for supporting a full spectrum of legal and compliance services to support our operations.
What you'll be doing On a day-to-day basis, you'll:
Provide relevant general legal advice and assistance to the business, including the executive team and the Board.Oversee the development, negotiation, and implementation of contracts and other legal agreements.Oversee the use of the Victorian Government Legal Services Panel and manage reporting requirements.Effectively manage our property portfolio, including freehold and leasehold properties.Prepare, negotiate, and maintain land leases, licenses, and agreements.What you'll bring A law degree, preferably with admission to legal practice in Victoria.Preferred relevant experience, ideally within the public sector.Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and developing teams.What we can offer Putting people first comes naturally to us, and that includes the people we employ.
