Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including AV, suppliers, contractors and clients, understanding their vision and tailoring events to their needs Allocate events and ensure operational staff are fully briefed of the client needs for each event Plan, organise and oversee events from inception to completion Trouble shoot and resolve any issues during the event, ensuring client satisfaction Conduct post event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement Develop and manage events budgets ensuring cost effective solutions whilst maintaining quality Attend meetings, prepare reports, manage budget and the business planning process Lead by example and foster a positive values driven workplace culture? Participate in the weekend Manager on Duty program What you'll need to be successful Previous experience as an Event Manager in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, Convention Centre, or similar environment Demonstrated management experience leading a team to promote morale & to encourage teamwork Tertiary qualification in in event, hospitality or tourism, desirable Availability and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends outside of regular hours Proficient in MS Office applications and PMS, Opera desirable Passion and knowledge of hotels, C&E, service excellence and industry trends? Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Active listening, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail, organisational, time management and multitasking skills Ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure and in a busy and large fast paced environment Professional personal presentation We are Offering?
