THE ROLE An exciting opportunity has opened up for a permanent, full-time Account Manager to join our client's Beauty & Personal Care team.
We are seeking candidates with a scientific or technical background and experience in account management.
Our client is also willing to accommodate experienced formulators aspiring to transition into a commercial role like this one.

Reporting to the General Manager, Beauty & Personal Care, you will be responsible for managing an assigned group of customers, mostly Sydney-based, to achieve & exceed designated sales targets.
In return, our client offers: Great flexibility via a hybrid working arrangement Competitive salary package + car allowance Uncapped bonus for exceeding targets Work with commercial and technical experts in the field Some Responsibilities: Service and develop potential customers to achieve sales targets Establish a 6-month plan for existing customers including estimates for the top 5 customers Assist with budget and business plan preparations, inventory holdings and movements Initiate and develop customer account strategies, based on existing and future customer requirements including new market strategies Maintain all data in company CRM and meet agreed call plan targets (customer call reports) Regularly call on customers to ensure products and service levels are satisfactorily meeting customer needs Preparation of tenders through to the post-delivery phase with a focus on ensuring objectives are achieved and information sourced and submitted in a timely fashion Endeavour to obtain customer, competitor, and product information from the industry and make appropriate recommendations to maintain/increase business SELECTION CRITERIA To be shortlisted for this exciting opportunity you will need to meet the following criteria: Tertiary qualification in any STEM-related degree (food science, general science, engineering) is preferred but not necessary Experience working in a similar role selling ingredients such as surfactants, emulsifiers, and/or rheology modifiers used in cosmetics and/or personal care formulations Previous sales and account management experience OR formulation experience combined with the right personality traits to take on an account management role Medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with CRMs Strong communication, numerical, planning, organising, and problem-solving skills Effective negotiation and influencing skills Strong experience with product costing, preparation of quotes, and setting sales budgets You must be available to travel, have a valid driver's license and full work rights in Australia APPLICATIONS To have a confidential discussion about this role, please call Renee on 0403 727 598.
