As part of this growth, there is an immediate requirement for a Change Management Lead to join the Information Technology & Digital Services team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the ITDS change management function, owning and promoting change management frameworks and tools, embedding change management practices across technology initiatives, supervising project-driven change efforts, and leading a team of Change Managers to ensure smooth transitions across projects.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Program Delivery, the Change Management Lead works closely with senior leaders, ITDS teams, the Lead, Organisation Design and Workforce Transformation, and the Office for People to ensure alignment with WSU's People First strategy.
Key Duties
* Work with the CIO and Executive Director, Program Delivery to establish a fit-for-purpose change management function.
* Oversee project-specific change initiatives within ITDS.
* Establish and continuously improve change management frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
* Lead stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
* Develop tailored communication plans to support change initiatives at both organisational and project levels.
* Conduct Impact Assessment, Change Readiness, and Mitigation Planning.
* Oversee the development of training programs.
* Develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives.
To be successfully shortlisted, we are seeking applications from talented Change Leaders who possess the following:
* Relevant tertiary qualification (preferably postgraduate) with extensive demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technical change management initiatives.
* Proven track record of embedding change management practices within a people-first framework.
* Experience in supporting organisational change and operating model redesigns, collaborating with organisational design and workforce transformation teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
* Ability to assess and address change impacts, with a data-driven approach to identify change readiness, evaluate adoption rates, and refine strategies.
Please note this role is offered on a 3-year, fixed term contract with a salary package of $197,000 to $211,800 inclusive of super.
