Job Title: SEN Teacher
The Supply Register is a managed service working alongside five multi-academy trusts within Devon and Cornwall.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable SEN English Teacher to join our team.
Position Overview: Our school community is dedicated to providing high-quality support to students with special educational needs. We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teacher who is committed to helping every student thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tailored Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects, adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN.
2. Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, implementing specialized interventions outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to track students' progress and inform instructional planning. Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate students' needs and adjust support strategies as necessary.
4. Behaviour Management: Foster a positive classroom environment by implementing effective behaviour management strategies and providing social-emotional support to students with SEN.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students' development.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with SEN.
2. Specialized training or qualifications in SEN education are highly desirable.
3. Strong understanding of different learning needs and ability to adapt instruction.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Patient, empathetic, resilient, and passionate about supporting students with SEN.
