ABOUT THE POSITION. This consultancy is looking for a sharp Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic team They need someone who can dive into construction phase services and ground investigation work. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on site assessments, detailed soil and rock condition evaluations, and critical project support. DUTIES. Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions Plan and oversee drilling programs for soil and rock sampling Perform field tests such as cone penetration tests and standard penetration tests Collect and analyse soil and rock samples for laboratory testing Prepare detailed geotechnical reports with findings and recommendations Design foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks based on site conditions Perform face mapping of rock slopes and assess stabilisation measures Provide on-site consultation during the construction phase Conduct quality control inspections of geotechnical works SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Strong understanding of soil mechanics and rock engineering principles Ability to conduct field investigations and analyse soil and rock samples Experience in geotechnical engineering within a consultancy Exposure to working on diverse infrastructure projects Geotechnical or Civil Engineering Degree CULTURE.
