The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in planning, developing, and directing quality activities for patients, ensuring their recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Director of Activities in creating engaging programs for patients.
* Chart patient progress and behavior accurately and descriptively.
* Provide escort services to patients attending activities.
* Make regular visits to patients who prefer or require individual attention.
* Demonstrate exceptional customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
* Aid in patient evacuation procedures.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Prior experience in geriatrics is preferred.
* Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
* Proficiency in arts, crafts, or music is a plus.
* Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
* Familiarity with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
