About the role:
Under guidance you will contribute to the output of biology and preclinical in vivo imaging projects. You will also be required to design, plan and set up experiments, including troubleshooting scientific experiments, data acquisition, and analysis.
Duties will include:
* Development of animal models and in vivo and ex vivo measurement of radiopharmaceuticals
* Undertake laboratory work and associated training that is required for conducting planned experiments
* Ensure operational safety, quality control and compliance with applicable standards, legislation and regulations
* Write safety, regulatory and compliance documents (SWMES, work instructions, animal ethics, etc.) and ensure accurate records are kept
Skills & experience:
* Degree (MSc or higher preferred) in biological science, medical science, or radiation science
* Demonstrated experience in laboratory animal handling (rodents), anaesthesia, monitoring, injection, and surgical techniques related to in vivo imaging
* Experience working with preclinical in vivo imaging modalities, in vivo/ex vivo biodistribution studies, and therapeutic studies of pharmaceuticals or radiopharmaceuticals
* Demonstrated ability to work productively within a team and as an independent researcher
* Strong communication and organisational skills
