Job Description
A forward-thinking Civil Construction company excels in diverse projects across power, rail, transport, defence, and private developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver projects on time and within budget requirements
* Identify, price, and manage variations and progress claims
* Negotiate subcontract and supply agreements
* Demonstrate commercial and contractual awareness, including head contract and subcontract understanding, as well as management of complex technical risk
* Maintain adherence to all Health and Safety requirements, fostering a zero-harm culture
* Develop and implement project plans, encompassing schedules, budgets, and quality control
* Analyze, report, and forecast labour and materials costs (highly valued)
* Communicate regularly with clients, consultants, and authorities
* Manage subcontractors' work against the schedule
* Plan and program projects
* Lead and mentor junior staff to optimize team productivity
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience working on civil construction projects in Australia in a similar role
* Proven experience delivering Substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems
* Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, drainage, and utilities construction is advantageous
* Degree in Construction management / Engineering
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Excellent time management skills
* Availability for DIDO travel to Regional Victoria
* Appropriate IT skills
