The role involves periodic casual work supervising students in years 2, 3 and 4 of their studies across various facilities in Perth. The usual commitment is approximately 3 hours per week/per student for 3 out of the 5 weeks they are on placement.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise/support/mentor students whilst on placementIdentify students at risk, liaise with the clinical education team and the site supervisor to ensure appropriate supports and strategies are put into placeProviding both verbal and written feedback to the students about their performanceCompletion of relevant professional development/supervision training through the universityAttendance at meetings as required by the Director of Clinical EducationOther duties as identified by the Director of Clinical EducationComply with policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conductQualifications, skills & experienceQualified to at least a minimum of an undergraduate qualification and be an AHPRA registered PhysiotherapistSignificant relevant clinical experienceExperience with the clinical supervision of students or relevant post-graduate studiesKnowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the relevant disciplineDemonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgroundsKnowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace cultureAbility to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with studentsHow to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
