Senior Traffic Engineer Contracting Opportunity
Salary: $60 - $75 per hour + super
Position Objective: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to manage traffic management and road safety assets and services. This role involves conducting investigations and providing expert engineering advice to internal teams and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Traffic Engineering: Provide specialist engineering advice on traffic engineering, road safety, and parking issues.
Plan, prioritize, and conduct investigative works, accurately scoping and costing projects while consulting with stakeholders.
Undertake surveys, designs, drafting, and cost estimates for assigned projects, preparing written reports on progress.
Manage and deliver minor infrastructure projects from initiation to handover.
Prepare funding applications for various infrastructure works and strategies.
Develop and monitor infrastructure priorities related to DDA compliance and road safety.
Oversee the collection of traffic data and manage VMS trailers.
Lead and develop Local Area Traffic Management and Parking Management schemes.
Create strategies related to Parking, Traffic, and Road Safety, contributing to associated action plans.
Respond to Customer Request Management system (CRM) inquiries effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with registration or ability to register under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 preferred. Experience in Local Government engineering is desirable. Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
