The Role: Communication-Driven Project Success This newly created position will be based in our Bibra Lake Architectural workshop office and is a full-time role designed to support our continued growth.
As our Project Coordinator, you'll be the essential communicator and coordinator between all project stakeholders.
Your excellent communication skills will be the foundation for successful project delivery as you orchestrate the journey from concept to completion for impressive metal fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities : Communication Hub : Serve as the primary point of contact, fostering clear and consistent communication between clients, designers, fabricators, installers, and subcontractors.
Project Documentation and Information Management : Create, organise, and maintain accurate project documentation (digital and physical), ensuring easy access and effective communication of project information.
Subcontractor Coordination : Coordinate and manage subcontractors, clearly communicating project requirements, reviewing trade-specific variations, and managing Requests for Information (RFIs).
Client Liaison : Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives, building and maintaining strong relationships through consistent and professional communication.
Meeting Facilitation and Reporting : Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, document key decisions, and disseminate project progress reports, addressing budget and schedule adherence.
Design and Technical Support : Assist with design management and shop drawing reviews, communicating any discrepancies or issues to relevant teams and reviewing construction and structural documentation and technical specifications.
Budget and Schedule Management Support : Provide support to project managers in managing project budgets, tracking invoices, managing change orders, and keeping project schedules up to date.
Procurement Support : Support procurement teams by accurately estimating and pricing jobs, ensuring effective communication of project requirements and constraints.
Required Qualities : 2+ years of experience in the Construction Industry.
Experience in Commercial projects.
Relevant site experience or Degree qualifications in Construction Management, Building and Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes (structural steel, architectural metalwork, sheet metal).
Mandatory knowledge and experience in structural steel.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
Self-motivated with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proactive in maintaining a strong client focus.
