About the roleThe Theatre Coordinator acts as the central point of contact for all perioperative communications.
The coordinator troubleshoots any issues that arise during the shift, coordinating with relevant staff to resolve them promptly.
They have a responsibility to ensure all required instruments, equipment and stock are available and ensure clear communication is given to staff for any potential conflicts.
They are responsible for staff allocation and verify the operating lists for the next day by comparing them with the emailed surgeons list.
The coordinator will also ensure staff have breaks and will liaise with managers throughout the shift.
