About Us: The Department of Justice and Community Safety provides compliance, enforcement, and regulatory services to the Victorian Community. The Hume Region delivers a range of services through Justice Service Centres located at Wangaratta, Shepparton, Seymour and Wodonga. The Corporate Services Business unit is responsible for providing the region with a range of corporate support functions including human resources, finance and procurement, planning and reporting, fleet and facilities management, risk management, workforce development and general administration. About the Role: The Justice Officer – Administration, performs reception and concierge duties and provides accurate and timely administrative support services for the various business areas within the Justice Service Centres across the locations. The role has a strong focus on service delivery to clients, internal and external stakeholders, and the public. Administrative duties may include responding to over-the-counter enquiries from staff or from the general public, providing information and assistance with matters relating to Department portfolios, assisting with correspondence management (e.g. Court documents / fines / Birth Deaths & Marriages submissions) and the maintenance of a range of electronic information and filing systems. The role works at the primary location but will be required to provide services for other Justice Services Areas within the region as required or when periods of peak demand. The training for the role will be located in Shepparton. Some of your duties will include: Providing accurate and timely administrative support and client services. Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public including the collation, review, and processing of applications. Providing reception duties, answering, forwarding and responding to telephone calls for locations. Performing a range of financial duties including procurement, accounts payable / receivable, purchase orders, cash handling, payment processing and banking.
