Project Management (Construction)Government - Local (Government & Defence) Full time About the roleAs the Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio consisting of a diverse, complex, and sensitive range of capital projects and programs from across the organisation within the PMBok Principles Project Management Framework.Key Responsibilities: Manage the delivery of a diverse portfolio consisting of a significant volume of capital projects and programs, ranging in size, nature, sensitivity, and complexity, from initiation to operational handover.Lead and coordinate diverse and multi-faceted project teams as required, including project managers, designers, and consultants to deliver the portfolio.Manage the engagement of any external resources required to deliver the projects within the portfolio, including the supervision and administration of the engagement.Manage the procurement process, including the invitation to tender advertisements; the preparation of tender documentation; coordination of the tender assessment process; preparation of the tender report to Council and preparation of the contract documentation.Manage project finances ensuring all budgeting, expenditure, forecasting, payments, and cash flow projections are accurate, well-managed, regularly updated, and reported.Manage stakeholder relationships to establish and maintain strong, effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure high levels of engagement, communication, and satisfaction so as to advise and assist them to manage the planning and implementation of their annual capital works program. About YouThe successful candidate should have: Extensive experience in the management of portfolios including a wide range of projects and programs.Recognised degree qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or other related disciplines.Excellent communication, negotiation, advocacy, and people management skills.Excellent skills and knowledge of civil, landscape, and building construction techniques and ability to understand and interpret engineering and technical designs.Excellent budget and financial skills.Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.Class 'C' Drivers Licence.
