Full time Salary package $80,744 - $110,887 (plus Super) The Australian Signals Directorate is seeking to fill several ASD4/5/6 Multimedia Specialist vacancies within the Multimedia and Publishing Services Section, Enterprise Technology Division (ETD). In all our positions, you will: Use a variety of Multimedia-related equipment and software to provide complex photography, video production and motion graphic support for ASD and our stakeholders. Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, provide advice and identify relevant requirements for stakeholders and customers. Develop and communicate multimedia methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes. Take the initiative to progress your work to meet business objectives. Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member. Additionally, staff members will be expected to perform the following duties respective to their levels: ASD 4 staff will: Be accountable, under routine direction, for organising their own workflow and making independent decisions relating to their responsibilities. Contribute to ongoing self-improvement and professional development and assist in maintaining resource and information systems for multimedia production. ASD 5 staff will: Be accountable under limited direction for their own complex multimedia work, while they are also expected to be able to review and develop the work undertaken by less experienced staff and identify opportunities for providing on-the-job training. Undertake technical research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessments and perform procedural support work to achieve results. Ensure they are operating consistently with a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members and customers. Contribute towards their ongoing self-improvement and professional development of staff within the team. Use their experience to identify multimedia and production issues and work to resolve them. ASD 6 staff will: Support the Team Lead and Technical/Senior Multimedia specialist in coordinating multimedia production and training for a small team. The successful candidate will be accountable for setting work priorities and collaboratively managing team workflows. Be accountable under broad direction for leading the performance and achievement of complex multimedia production within the overall team operations. Generally work independently to achieve work outcomes, while exercising initiative and judgement in interpreting policy and providing detailed technical, professional, training and policy advice. Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development. Lead large team projects and be accountable for setting work priorities and managing workflows. Build team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit. Identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations in relation to complex production enquiries. Take initiative in contributing to the overall team's ongoing improvement and professional development. Be responsible for the maintenance of post-production resources and information systems and identify and implement solutions to multimedia and production issues. About our Team ASD's Multimedia team develops and communicates multimedia methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes. The team uses a variety of Multimedia related equipment and software to provide photography, video production and motion graphic support for ASD and our stakeholders. This includes: event coverage, training videos, and promotional footage and photography for official publications such as Annual Reports or social media. The team is responsible for building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, providing advice and identifying relevant requirements for stakeholders and customers. Team members will be primarily located in Canberra with some opportunities available in Melbourne and Brisbane. Team members may be required to occasionally travel to interstate locations for multimedia requirements.
