Primary Objective Provide high-level project coordination and general administrative support and advice to the Director and other senior departmental staff in the planning, development, management, delivery and evaluation of a replacement Voice network and the migration to a new Voice Telecommunications hardware and software across all of NT Government. Context Statement ICT Services provides ICT hardware and software services to client agencies to meet business requirements, this includes end user services such as the ICT Service Centre, End User Computing, Network Management, Voice and Telecommunications including internet. The current NTG telecommunications voice solution is approaching end of life for use in Australia and this position will operate as part of a small team supporting the assessment and selection for a replacement Unified Communications Voice network solution and the subsequent activities to migrate 23,000 users to the new Voice Telecommunications hardware and software. Key duties and responsibilities 1. In collaboration with the Director, manage the development of key deliverables including research, planning, scoping, procurement activities, contract management, project monitoring and evaluation. 2. Identify synergies and opportunities to improve coordination, efficiencies and effectiveness across all elements of the Voice Communications team service provision and contribute to the change management process. 3. Provide leadership within the work unit to strategically develop and monitor processes and procedures to improve service delivery to meet the business, compliance and service demands for Voice Communications across NTG. 4. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring policy and process efficiency in line with new and evolving service provisions. 5. Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency of quality services and facilitate continuous improvement. 6. Oversight and prepare a variety of correspondence, documentation, registers and reporting. 7. Foster a positive workplace culture with specific attention to ethics and integrity, through exemplary governance-focused practices and role modelling behaviour. Selection criteria Essential 1. Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyse administration and governance issues, devise sound and timely solutions to risks, and communicate and implement plans with a high degree of independence. 2. Demonstrated ability in process analysis, gap analysis, and the design and implementation of business process improvements in a centralised ICT voice network context or similar. 3. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex matters through clear verbal and written briefings. 4. High-level skills in the effective and efficient use of all Microsoft Office applications and contemporary communication hardware and software. 5. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and respectful. Desirable 1. Knowledge of ICT Voice Communications and the NTG Voice information technology infrastructure. 2. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
