Job Description
As the Channel Manager for Pedestrian Television, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our content strategy across the 9Now platform.
Your focus will be on curating engaging content that resonates with youth audiences, driving viewership and enhancing brand visibility. You will analyse trends and leverage data insights to implement effective programming strategies and marketing initiatives. Additionally, you'll manage content schedules, collaborate with key stakeholders, and oversee the accuracy of metadata and transmission logs, ensuring a seamless viewing experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Craft and implement data-driven programming strategies to boost viewership and engagement.
2. Develop and execute marketing strategies across owned channels and partnerships.
3. Manage daily content schedules and communicate the strategy to Pedestrian Group.
4. Manage metadata for content in internal systems and external platforms for accuracy.
5. Classify and categorise content to ensure appropriate audience viewership.
6. Collaborate with 9Now’s Content Programmer to enhance visibility on the network.
7. Align content strategies with Pedestrian's Head of Editorial, to support growth.
8. Monitor the BVOD competitor landscape for industry trends.
9. Manage license agreements with distributors and content creators.
10. Maintain daily transmission logs and provide reporting to content license partners and clients.
11. Brief Design and Video teams for creating marketing assets for VOD and live channels.
12. Collaborate with partnerships teams on sponsored content integration.
Qualifications
13. Understanding of the television and BVOD market
14. Knowledge of local and international content
15. Strong editorial and curation skills for youth audiences
16. Proficient in analytical and critical thinking, with experience in performance metrics (, OZTAM)
17. Ability to analyse trends and leverage data insights
18. Familiarity with content management systems; experience with Zype preferred
19. Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills with high attention to detail
20. Strong presentation and communication skills
21. Proven experience in programming and content management
22. Passion for television, film, and pop culture, aligned with PEDESTRIAN’s tone of voice
23. Proven ability to plan and implement data-driven strategies and initiatives
