Randstad Recruitment has been engaged to recruit a Governance and Risk Consultant for a local government client. We are seeking someone who has demonstrated, end-to-end experience developing and implementing a Business Continuity Plan and implementing a Risk Management / Risk Review Framework.
Governance and Risk Consultant

Business Continuity Plan
A first pass review has been undertaken identifying the need to align with the new Crisis Management Plan / Emergency Management Approach, and the need for business criticality assessments. There are three aspects to this:
6. Strategic review to align the BCP in the appropriate way with the CMP/EMP
7. Scaling of the BCP to take into effect the different types of business continuity events (eg, tech outages, not just natural disasters)
8. Workshops to determine the business critical functions of each team and determine pathways to continuity.
Risk management framework implementation
Work is currently underway to do a high level review of the Risk Management Framework, including policy and risk appetite statements. The strategic risk register will be reviewed and the procedure revised to promote compliance. The work to be done following that is:
9. Organisation-wide training to implement the changes and educate
10. Updating the operational risk register in line with the new appetite statements/tolerances
11. Develop and implement appropriate reporting and review mechanisms
