Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery Practice We are a dental practice that is limited to oral surgery.
Our practice focuses on the removal of teeth (including surgical wisdom teeth), dental implants, and All-On-4 implant bridges.
We also handle some oral pathology.
We provide surgery under local anaesthetic, IV sedation, and general anaesthetic.
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and quick learner who is well-presented and friendly.
The position is ideal for anyone seeking a part-time role in the health industry and willing to learn new skills.
No experience in the dental field is necessary as all training will be provided.
The position commences in January 2025 and is currently 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), with opportunities for significant increases in hours and pay for the ideal candidate.
We work with 2 dental nurses per surgeon.
One dental nurse is responsible for assisting, and another handles administration (i.e., taking notes and post-operative instructions).
The roles rotate every week.
Our dental nurses have a range of responsibilities, including:
Note taking Answering phones when necessary Preparing patients for surgery Ordering, picking, and organizing dental implant components Providing pre and post-operative patient instructions Designing implant surgical guides Our practice is new (built in 2023) with modern facilities and technology.
We focus heavily on using digital technology for communications, surgical treatment planning, delivery of services, and administration.
The ideal candidate would have basic IT skills, good spelling/grammar, and reasonable touch typing abilities.
We are a small but busy practice with a close-knit and excellent team consisting of 3 highly trained and motivated nurses, a lead receptionist, and 2 dental surgeons.
