Marketing Assistants/Coordinators (Marketing & Communications) About Us: Originally named The Wayside Foundation, The Ted Noffs Foundation was established in 1970 by the great Australian humanitarian, Reverend Ted Noffs, and renamed in 1992 to honour his life's work. Our services are focused on helping young people with drug, crime and mental health issues and have achieved significant success. Today, we run services across NSW, ACT and QLD with over 150 staff and nearly 300 volunteers committed to helping disadvantaged young Australians. The Role: The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting our marketing and fundraising efforts. This position will be responsible for managing digital marketing activities, coordinating content across social media platforms, working on creative projects with youth, and assisting in the production of marketing collateral. The Marketing Assistant will also help manage events, newsletters, and donor communications, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Advocacy and the Finance teams on fundraising campaigns, including digital initiatives, mailouts, and donor events. Oversee and curate content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, to increase engagement and followers for both The Street University and the Ted Noffs Foundation. Support the online store and coordinate merchandise distribution across the organisation and to the public. Assist in managing SEO, analytics, and overall digital marketing activities. Process donations, manage donor activity databases, and perform other administrative tasks as needed. Prepare post-campaign reports and presentations to analyse and communicate results. Create and distribute internal and external newsletters that are relevant, informative and fun to read using Mailchimp. Skills and Experience: Understanding of marketing and fundraising principles, especially within the not-for-profit sector. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content marketing trends. A creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design; an ability for storytelling is highly desired. Must be flexible and able to work from various locations across Sydney (minimum 3 days working in the office); some interstate travel may be required. Able to think on their feet, solve problems independently and troubleshoot. Excellent communication skills, specifically writing skills, with the ability to develop collaborative and open relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Well-organised with a strong audience-oriented approach. Understanding and knowledge of youth and cultural trends is preferred. Ability to work efficiently across multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent ability to work in Microsoft Office, GSuite, and iWork. Able to take direction and move quickly.
