This is a Fixed Term opportunity until September 2025, with potential to extend, working 16 hours a week on Wednesday and Friday. Our Allied Health team operate out of both our Pimlico and Hyde Park campus, where you will work across both inpatient and outpatient patients as required.As a Cardiac Rehab Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in our Allied Health, Exercise Physiology, and Nursing team. Your responsibilities will include recruiting, educating and facilitating our Cardiac Rehabilitation program and providing individual care for patients who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing adverse cardiac events. You will also be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical nursing services and associated programs to meet the evolving needs of our patients.Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:Assisting the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of our Cardiac Rehabilitation program.Recruitment and education of cardiac patients across Mater inpatient wards including CCU, CTU and Cath Lab.Facilitate a comprehensive and multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation program, implementing quality improvements.Develop client-centered, goal-directed plans to promote self-management and a healthy lifestyle.Assist in the development and implementation of Mater's quality improvement strategies.Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement standards and evaluate program effectiveness.Maintain accurate patient records and statistical information.About youPost-Graduate qualifications and/or experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation or cardiac nursing desirable.Current professional registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.Desirable - Experience in facilitating Cardiac Rehabilitation Groups, including program development and evaluation.
