Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and communicate IT integration solutions to meet business needs. Ensure accurate representation of business / technical requirements in integration solutions through collaboration with solution architects, domain architects, business users, technology groups, and suppliers.
* Lead and manage integration architecture outcomes within projects, including the development of architecture component documentation, and obtain approval from key stakeholders to ensure that solutions are 'fit for purpose'. Facilitate the governance of project solutions.
* Manage the resolution of architecture decisions and issues through the architecture and delivery phases to ensure timely identification and resolution of architecture and design issues.
* Apply high-level expertise knowledge of systems integration to inform solution architecture on optimal designs and appropriate compromises to ensure quality solutions are delivered to the business.
* Contribute to the improvement of integration architecture policies, standards, patterns, and frameworks.
* Provide thought leadership to the organization.
Planning:
* Collaborate with the solution architect in the development and communication of high-level plans for investing in the IT environment / infrastructure and provide subject matter expertise to support the technology planning process pertaining to integration architecture.
* Track the technology requirements across all phases and contribute to IT impact assessments to understand the impact of changes to requirements across all phases.
* Conduct or participate in information gathering workshops, interviews, and design sessions necessary to capture business needs relating to integration.
Compliance and Delivery Governance:
* Track and review solutions through delivery phases to maintain effective governance, reporting, and control to ensure the integration component designs are compliant and aligned with stated architecture.
* Adhere to all IT and integration architecture policies, standards, frameworks, and guidelines in the performance of day-to-day activities.
* Support Information Management processes, procedures & standards, and software methodologies.
* Contribute to the improvement of methodologies and processes for functional design activities to ensure continuous improvement of technology and business outcomes.
Service Delivery:
* Working independently, assist in analyzing the business and technology landscape as required to develop integration architecture solutions and/or strategy.
* Provide technology advice and guidance to senior business and technology project stakeholders within a project to assist the business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions.
Partner and Vendor Management:
* Liaise with executive and senior stakeholders (business, architecture, security, and operations) to ensure strong relationships are maintained, and business, technology requirements, and solutions are understood.
* Liaise with all significant contributors to end-to-end integration solutions, including architecture and engineering (CTO); infrastructure (SDI); security (ISG); delivery (SDA); and vendors.
* Collaborate with vendors to develop fit-for-purpose integration solutions.
Financial and Workforce Management:
* Deliver and review cost estimates for the design and development phase in partnership with the solution architect, business analysts, project management, subject matter experts, and solution providers for projects to provide accurate and timely cost estimates.
* Contribute to the continual process improvement and efficiency opportunities of end-to-end integration solutions.
* Deliver solutions that are sensitive to both the strategic agenda as well as the pragmatic and cost agenda.
People Management:
* Share knowledge of integration with team members, solution architecture community, technology community, and other key stakeholders.
