Using your skills, ideas and passion for education, you’ll help shape the future of children in our care by collaborating with your team to create a safe, supportive and engaging play-based learning environment for children, their families and our wider community.
At C&K Magnetic Island Early Childcare Centre, limited hours care only operates Thursday and Friday from 8am to 5pm. This position will be to cover lunches, breaks and LE NCT.

As a home away from home, our environment provides a safe, secure, supported space for your child. Our dedicated, professional, long term and qualified educators nurture play-based learning. Our environment encourages children to follow their interests, choose between indoor and outdoor play and be encouraged, challenged and supported in their learning. We have a strong sense of belonging in the Magnetic Island Community and regularly engage with the community with incursions and excursions.
This position will be a fixed term role until the end of Term 4 2024 with a possibility of extension.
We will cover your Ferry ticket and Paid travel up to 45 min each way to Magnetic Island if you live in Townsville.
What you’ll bring
Whether you’re an experienced early childhood professional, newly graduated or just commencing your studies, if you’re energetic, fun and committed to guiding children’s early learning and development, we’ll set you up for success!
To thrive and succeed in this role, you will either have or be willing to work towards:
9. A minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or willingness to commence studying that qualification.
10. First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
11. Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
12. A Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one).
