Ambulance Tasmania Operations team are looking for a dynamic Policy and Project Officer to spearhead the delivery of our strategic objectives and government priorities. Exciting project work awaits as we deliver healthcare priorities to the people of Tasmania in the prehospital field. You will be required to provide expert advice on policy updates. All health services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
* Provide detailed advice and high-level analysis to portfolio Ministers, the Secretary, Agency colleagues, and other stakeholders on mental health, alcohol and drug, and suicide prevention strategic policy issues.
* Undertake projects that contribute to the successful implementation of strategic initiatives and approved service priorities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including review of project outputs and outcomes, and the preparation of project documentation, project status reports, and communication strategies as required.
* Work collaboratively with other team members to support the planning, coordination, development, monitoring, and delivery of specific projects.
* Undertake research and analysis, including review and monitoring of the strategic international, national, and local policy environment, and current and emerging issues.
Details of appointment:
Fixed-term full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of two years.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $107,899 - $122,292 per annum. Our employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
