Job Requisition ID: 36328 Be inspired to navigate some of the world's leading organisations through the most important issues of our time – climate and sustainability.Do incredible work to identify, develop and scale the solutions needed to solve the toughest climate challenges and meet ambitious emission reduction commitments.Join a high performing team, uniquely positioned to advise clients on climate challenges and help them genuinely transform.About the team The Deloitte Climate Strategy, Innovation & Ventures team partners with senior executives, CEOs, and boards of leading corporations and start-ups to navigate the energy transition.Our practitioners are strategic problem solvers with deep industry insight and expertise in strategy and innovation who bring creative solutions to complex challenges.Our collaborative environment provides fast-paced, continuous learning and development opportunities.If you thrive in a purpose-driven setting, enjoy rapid experimentation, and are excited by the chance to grow while supporting a high-performing team, this role is for you.What will your typical day look like?As a Senior Consultant in the Deloitte Climate Strategy, Innovation & Ventures Team, you will balance the roles of innovator, entrepreneur, and strategist, in leading multi-disciplinary teams to build sustainable green future solutions.Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Collaborating with a team of strategic designers, product managers and climate technical experts (engineers, scientists, policy experts and economists), to develop and/or accelerate the commercialisation of new sustainability focused solutions and ventures or configure their businesses to effectively compete in new markets or regulatory contexts.Maintaining fluency in market trends, climate policy, emerging technologies, and start-up deal-flow to identify potential disruptions and opportunities to pilot technology with industry leaders.Supporting the identification and definition of new solutions and/or ventures, including business models, customer propositions, competitive positioning, and business plans.Building and supporting commercialisation of solutions and/or ventures, including definition of go-to-market strategies, operating models, and systems.Leading small teams and ensuring alignment across multi-disciplinary teams.Building strong client relationships with a range of client stakeholders.Connecting with internal specialists and subject matter experts across our Global firm who can help support and/or validate the build and delivery of climate transformation projects.Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of the team, with responsibilities including: Driving market eminence through support of sustainability and innovation thought leadership.Building your network of connections across the climate innovation ecosystem.Supporting the growth and development of junior team members on projects.Enough about us, let's talk about you As a Senior Consultant in the Climate Strategy, Innovation & Ventures Team, you are entrepreneurially driven, passionate about sustainability, and hungry to work with global players to solve our leading climate challenges.Essential: A background and/or passion for climate and sustainability, with a strong understanding of trends and concepts, and aptitude for learning about new technologies and solutions.3-5 years of experience with strategy development, advisory, strategy consulting, innovation consulting, business planning and/or product management.Regarded as a safe pair of hands who can deliver solutions to complex problems independently and on-time.An ability to communicate ideas, strategies, and complex concepts in clear and compelling fashion, for both business leaders and technical solution and/or venture building teams.Deep business acumen, exceptional quantitative, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills.Demonstrated task and activity management skills, including within agile ways of working.Highly Desirable: Experience in a high-pressure start-up environment with exposure to multidisciplinary teams and/or involvement with a top-tier consulting firm.Experience solution and/or venture design and development to take ideas through to commercialisation.Exceptional people skills with demonstrated ability of building trust and credibility across stakeholder groups (i.e., executive level, business, and technical teams).Demonstrated capabilities in leadership, mentoring and management of small teams, promoting effective and efficient work environments for team members to thrive.Technical understanding of emerging climate technologies.
