The most scenic and rewarding role in Perth could be yours! Work on an island as the Electrical Services Supervisor for Ventia’s Defence Base Services (DBS) team.
We are seeking to engage an experienced Electrical Services Supervisor (preferably with High Voltage experience)to be part of the close-knit facilities maintenance team.
This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working Monday through to Friday and is based at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island in Rockingham. Whilst this role is based locally, regular travel to other WA defence facilities will be required, within your area of responsibility. You will be primarily responsible for supervising and co-ordinating the electrical trades, including sub-contractors to effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment, within the Defence contract.
The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold and maintain a Defence Security Clearance to the level of Secret. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.

About the role
Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Services Manager, you have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and are approachable and confident when interacting with staff, contractors, sub-contractors, and key Client stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Naturally a results focused individual who can plan, identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Main duties
6. Management and coordination of electrical trades, sub-contractors both on and off site to ensure completion of work in accordance with the contract
7. Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment and to ensure a safe work practises and risk mitigation
8. Must have solid experience with high voltage works
9. Inspection/validation of the physical work to ensure compliance with set quality and technical standards
10. Signing off of work permits
11. Attend scheduled meetings with Trades, sub-contractors and customer representatives, to monitor progress and address issues that could affect Safety, quality, schedule and cost
Skills and experience
12. Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating in house electrical trades, including contractors and sub-contractors
13. Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (min 5 years’ experience post trade)
14. OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
15. High-Risk Work License – (Forklift, EWP)
16. High Voltage Experience is essential for this role
17. Strong oral and written communication skills
18. Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
19. Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment
20. Competent in the use of MS Office suite, knowledge of MMS SAP system is advantageous
21. C Class Drivers Licence
