The position is rostered on a 7 day per week 24-hour roster in Emergency Reception, Information Desk, Urgent Admissions, Elective Bookings and Switchboard roles.DUTIES:Reception of patients, visitors and staff.Perform Switchboard duties, follow all guidelines and internal procedures.Answer phone calls in a timely manner, with courtesy and consideration for the caller.ED Registrations, Admissions, Discharges and Transfers according to hospital requirements.Retrieval of medical records, filing in accordance with local procedures and associated medical record tracking.ABOUT YOU:Demonstrated experience in administration and reception duties, including computer skills in a people health care environment.Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.Excellent communication, customer service and people skills and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information with the discretion required in a hospital setting.Willing and able to work shift work with flexibility to adapt to short-notice work requirements when required and across the 24 x 7 roster.Ability to undertake required work flows efficiently, to set priorities if needed, and to use initiative in applying work practices in a busy work environment and as a part of a larger team.Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.HOW DO YOU APPLY?Click ‘Apply for Job’ and follow the prompts.
