Job Purpose This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of content for BritBox Australia across all platforms.
The Content Operations Specialist takes ownership of scheduling, metadata management, asset delivery, quality assurance, and troubleshooting to ensure a seamless content experience for subscribers.
The role requires direct collaboration with multiple teams including Britbox AU Content and Editorial, Global Content Operations, BBC Studios Branded Services, as well as global product and creative teams to ensure the timely and accurate publication of all content, maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Utilise BritBox's scheduling software to manage and accurately maintain the content calendar and metadata for BritBox Australia across all platforms and devices.
Monitor and track the timely delivery of video, captions, metadata, and imagery assets to ensure all content is ready for publication.
Conduct platform-wide content checks to ensure that assets meet technical specifications and are displayed correctly across devices.
Act as a first responder for troubleshooting technical issues, on-platform errors, and escalate where necessary.
Ensure content compliance with licensing agreements and manage takedowns or updates for expiring assets.
Work closely with Content & Editorial Manager and the Senior Content Coordinator to execute content strategy.
Coordinate with Editorial, Creative, Compliance and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on content delivery timelines.
Assist in streamlining workflows and identifying opportunities to optimise tools and processes.
Support the team with ad hoc requests.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience Prior experience in on-demand and/or linear television, OTT platform (or similar platforms) operations, content scheduling, or metadata management.
Knowledge of video encoding formats, DRM (Digital Rights Management), and CMS workflows is preferred.
Experience of working internationally is preferred.
Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), Airtable, Google Docs, Jira, and project management platforms (e.g., Trello, Asana) Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly organised, with excellent time-management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable problem-solver capable of addressing critical issues under pressure.
Proactive and collaborative, with a willingness to support team objectives and improve processes.
Familiarity with British TV and film programming.
Comfortable working operationally with various technology and devices.
