We are seeking a motivated pro-active professional with passion and drive for results to join our dedicated and dynamic hotel Team as Director of Sales.

About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you are responsible for the overall function of proactive sales, marketing and PR to maximise performance, drive RGI improvements, profitability and return on investment managing activity and total revenue generation.
You should have proven record as a hunter and converter of business in a number of market segments. You will form strategic external alliances and partners to support the Hotel’s positioning and actively promote the Hotel and brand through community and professional involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximise profitability across the business.
2. Execute sales strategies for the Hotel within designated region across all market segments.
3. Conduct needs analysis relating to sales of each of the hotel to determine areas requiring particular focus.
4. Act as primary point of contact for Hotels including the coordination and leadership of site inspections to assist conversion
5. Manage the Hotel RFP submissions and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
6. Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favourable and align with company objectives.
7. Support and champion the loyalty culture throughout the region including hotel recruitment, activation and member engagement initiatives.
8. Drive sales activity within region including leveraging meeting planner to drive C&E revenues.
9. Proactively engage with C&E sales and delivery of product.
10. Maintain a comprehensive level of property product knowledge and actively sell all attributes of the Hotel including Conference facilities and Food and Beverage features
11. Work collaboratively with Marketing and Revenue to ensure room night and revenue targets are appropriately supported.
To be successful in this role you'll have demonstrated excellence in these fields at a similar level as well as outstanding internal stakeholder and owner management, understanding of brand delivery and the ability to impact and influence the overall business agenda and execution. You'll bring great knowledge and experience, be forward thinking and inspirational with a warm and approachable manner.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate commercial acumen by maintaining awareness of unfolding business performance, market influences and trends as well as commercial agility by adapting tactics and plans to enable the hotel's businesses to stay ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
You'll have experience in similar roles in hotels with varied market mixes.
Exposure to digital marketing and driving results through this medium will be highly advantageous.
