Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn't be possible without great people - people just like you.
In this role, you will be accountable for improving and maintaining the control/automation systems that facilitate coal export at DBCT P/L. In addition, this role has a major focus on improving business processes by leveraging the best from our control systems, including undertaking analysis, investigation, documentation, and solution development. You will enjoy the challenge of engaging stakeholders and problem-solving for the completion of control system activities whilst ensuring that work is managed effectively while complying with change management procedures.
This role will suit a candidate with control system engineering and business improvement awareness that enjoys getting involved in improving production. A strong attention to detail is also required as the role has a major focus on documenting the proposed and final changes.
What we are looking for: Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication, planning, and organizing skills; The ability to work within a small, multi-focused team environment; An awareness of continuous improvement processes and development of automation systems; Formal engineering qualifications appropriate to control systems; Experience in MES, SCADA, and PLC-based control systems; Experience in the implementation of advanced control concepts is advantageous.
