About the Role: As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. While the majority of the work will be vehicle servicing and tyre-related, there will also be opportunities to provide guidance on repairs when needed, particularly for loyal customers who rely on your expertise. Your experience in diagnostics and repairs will be essential to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working on diverse vehicles, but without the pressure of taking on major repairs on a daily basis. The workshop is busy enough to provide a steady stream of work, but not overly hectic, allowing for a balanced workload. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles, with a focus on servicing and tyre-related jobs. Lead the workshop in quality control and efficiency while mentoring junior staff. Manage diagnostics for minor repairs, offering valuable guidance to customers. Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment, ensuring all safety standards are met. Work closely with the service advisor and customers to provide updates and advice on vehicle issues. Assist in maintaining workshop tools and equipment, ensuring everything is in working order. What you’ll Bring: A Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on diagnostics. Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. Customer-focused attitude and excellent communication skills. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is desirable but not essential. A valid driver’s license.
