The WHS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring safety best practice is operationalised.
This role will provide critical support across a variety of WHS and Wellbeing projects, initiatives, and core functions enabling the WHS function to achieve its strategic outcomes.
This is a hands-on position that requires active participation in operational activities and close interaction with employees to maintain a safe workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct risk assessments to minimise site risk (plant, process and chemical)Develop safe work procedures to ensure compliance and best practiceUpdate and maintain all WHSW registersCoordinating WHSW legal compliance trainingAdministration & maintenance of the Safety Management System (Beakon)Monitor and drive required outcomes through the Beakon safety systemAssist with Incident and Injury InvestigationsAssist the WHS Advisor in conducting safety inductions and on-boarding processesMonitor and coordinate internal audit scheduleSupport the Safety and Recovery Manager in developing safety leadership across the organisationAssist the Work, Health and Safety department with implementation of WHSW initiatives and strategies to address key organisational risks and reduce workplace injuriesAssist the Safety & Recovery Manager with maintaining AS/NZS45001 accreditationAssist with Procedural Compliance Audits monthly or when requiredWhat You'll Need To SucceedWhile direct experience in work health and safety (WHS) is not required, it is beneficial.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in WHS, with a genuine eagerness to learn and contribute to the team.
