Black Cat prides itself on delivering value for money for its clients, and sharing its success with its people.The OpportunityBlack Cat Civil has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our finance and administration team based at our Head Office in Nambour on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.Reporting to our Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be exposed to end to end accounting processes, whilst supporting our internal divisions with their specific accounting requirements. This role will suit applicants with prior accounting experience in civil construction, building or mining industries.Key responsibilities of the position include:Prepare and analyse the groups management financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with accounting standards.Compile and analyse groups monthly, quarterly and annual management reports by the reporting deadlines.Prepare and oversee accounts receivable and payable functions.Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals.Assist in internal and external audits for the group’s financial compliance.Preparation and review of weekly payroll. Ensure adherence to all regulatory payroll processes and reporting requirements.Collaboration with project teams and support teams to streamline internal processes and reporting.Assist Directors and Financial Controller with the day-to-day operations and ad hoc tasks.Train staff in new/current systems and processes of the businesses internal accounting controls.Collaboration and implementation of new internal accounting controls to enhance and streamline processes in conjunction of the groups ERP software.Key Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance.Minimum 3 years in financial accounting.Advanced in report production, analysis, Excel, and ERP systems.
