About the Role
As a key player in Defence operations, you will contribute to ensuring the readiness of vital capability.
This exciting opportunity is based at our state-of-the-art facility in Woodville North, where you'll lead and empower a talented team of engineers, contributing to their growth and success.
Your Responsibilities:
* Oversee engineering activities and artefacts, ensuring successful delivery through the application of engineering processes, resources, and tools.
* Nurture and develop your team, enhancing capability within the Hunter program and the broader engineering division.
* Lead technical investigations, make decisions based on sound engineering judgment, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions within time and cost constraints.
* Drive the production of technical documentation, maintain secure records, and present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage product safety, conduct technical risk assessments, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Requirements:
* Australian Citizenship and a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain).
* An accredited (under the Washington Accord) Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* Relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
* Previous team management experience.
* A strong understanding of the design lifecycle and system integration.
* Experience with managing supplier and sub-contractor specification (desired).
* A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
