Key duties and responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major website uplift project (working with an external vendor), ensuring alignment with user needs, business objectives, and government standards.
* Working with a vendor, lead the delivery of a multi-channel content strategy which will set the direction for both content, technology and information architecture enhancements for the website based on user journeys, user research and testing.
* Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk.
* Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project.
* Manage the rollout of the website uplift, overseeing technical integrations, testing and working with the content designer on content design and migration.
* Implement agile project management principles, ensuring iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
* Support change management, stakeholder engagement and communications to ensure successful delivery and adoption of the enhanced website.
* Ensure compliance with the Digital Service Standard (DSS), Digital Experience Policy, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Skills and experience
* Proven experience managing large-scale web or digital projects, ideally within government or complex organisations.
* Strong understanding of Australian Government digital standards, including WCAG, and the Digital Experience Policy.
* Experience leading website redevelopment or uplift projects, including content migration, accessibility improvements, and UX enhancements.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
* Familiarity with content management systems, web technologies, and digital analytics. Experience delivering website projects in GovCMS SaaS desirable.
* Experience managing external vendors, contracts, and procurement processes.
* Ability to navigate government approval processes, compliance requirements, and risk management.
Technical skills
* EL1 equivalent Experience for this role.
