About the opportunity
Southern Cross University is seeking a trade-qualified professional ready to step up into a leadership role, joining our Property Services team as a Facilities Supervisor. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead day-to-day property and asset maintenance across the campus, while ensuring high standards of safety, service, and operational performance.
You’ll supervise Facilities Officers and contractors, coordinate maintenance schedules, and support capital and minor works programs. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing and participating in infrastructure maintenance and contractor works ensuring compliance and safety standards are met.
* Leading a high-performing team, promoting collegiality and driving service excellence.
* Coordinating routine campus inspections, including grounds, car parks, plant rooms, student accommodation and office and teaching spaces to proactively identify areas for improvement and rectify issues
* Using computer systems to track and report maintenance activities (Archibus/T1 experience highly regarded) and provide a strong customer service response, including prioritising workload and resources.
About you
You’re an experienced tradesperson with a relevant trade licence and at least three years’ experience in a supervisory or facilities role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step into leadership and build new skills in compliance, procurement and facilities operations. More specifically, you will have:
* Strong contractor engagement and time management skills.
* Practical WHS knowledge and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Effective communication and people management experience.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and an aptitude for digital maintenance systems.
Salary and benefits

* Full-time, continuing (permanent)
* Located at Lismore, NSW 2480.
* HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $92,716 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $118,978.
