Unsolicited applications from agencies will not be considered.What we are looking for:Working closely with your Digital Strategy and Architecture (DS&A) peers and key stakeholders, the Solution Architect will be responsible for capturing, articulating and documenting the designs and decisions for solution architectures for both the ERP replacement program and all ICT-related investments across the organization.As part of the DS&A team, this role involves close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The goal is to ensure solutions comply with local government regulations and standards, adhere to Gympie Regional Council (GRC) architectural principles and design guidelines, and meet both business and technical requirements.Bachelor's degree in business information systems or related fieldMinimum five (5) years' experience with managing enterprise systems.Enterprise Architecture / Solution Architecture knowledge and experience.Strong stakeholder engagement skills to formulate solution requirements.Ability to work autonomously and derive instructions under the broad direction of the Program strategy and directions provided from the Digital Architect.Ability to think creatively and take an analytical approach to determining solutions to problems as they arise throughout the Program and from across the organisation.Experience with documenting business system requirements, preparing project documentation, process maps and solution architectural diagrams.Ability to work actively in a team environment.Highly developed ability with problem solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills with a focus on corporate system improvements, attention to detail and quality assurance.Knowledge of Local Government functions and protocols.Solid knowledge of system integration principles and experience with integrating ERP systems with other applications.Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence that is current and maintained.Solution Design and Architecture:Working with your DS&A colleagues, develop and uphold the architecture principles and design guidelines.Develop and maintain the overall solution architecture for the ERP replacement and other ICT investments.Ensure the solution aligns with business objectives and technical requirements.Design solutions that integrate with existing systems and align to accepted DS&A principles and design guidelines.Validate solution configurations / implementations against the approved architecture and solution design.Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with business leaders, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and present architectural solutions.Technical Leadership:Provide technical guidance and direction to project teams, including developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders. Identify potential risks and issues related to the implementation of the solution and propose mitigation strategies.Serve as a subject matter expert for corporate systems architecture, staying up to date with the product roadmaps, the latest industry trends and best practices.
