Position details:
4. Located at Williamtown, the role is on site with some capacity for limited remote working.
5. Working as part of a team, responsible for managing the Advanced Training and Test Environment (ATTE), delivering Defence a critical capability to support all services in the Defence Force.
6. The role will develop and maintain initial project documents (proposal of change, analysis of change and initial planning documents) for change requests in the ATTE program.
7. The role will support other program managers in the developing of more complicated change requests, including the necessary record keeping of those changes and staffing through for approval.
8. As the coordinator for a busy program, the role will support a series of governance meetings, acting as the secretariat to help coordinate submissions for those meetings, recording actions and following up to ensure timely completion.
9. As the coordinator, there is a reliance on this position to work with Defence to ensure good record keeping of all program data and effective support for timely submission of program deliverables.
10. Typical duties will include attending and support workshops on risk and opportunities management, review of strategy for sub-projects, reporting on progress and championing continuous improvement activities.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
11. Certificate IV qualified in business administration, leadership and/or project management disciplines or equivalent experience.
12. Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project coordination role, preferably in Defence or a technology-oriented environment.
13. Experience in the coordination of Defence Capability projects or products in a CASG System Program Office or Defence formation headquarters environment would be looked on favourably.
14. Proven experience working in multidisciplinary teams, helping to organise, prioritise, and schedule work assignments.
15. Currently holding or ability to acquire Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is a requirement for this role.
