About the Role Alongside making great coffee, the role requires active involvement in the operations of Melbourne location café.
It involves maintaining safe and healthy work environment by following organisation standards and sanitation regulations.
It also requires generating revenue by attracting new customers, defining new and expanded services and products.
This is a parental leave position reporting to the Business Operations Manager to be based out of our South Melbourne studio.
Main Duties Prepare and sell coffee, drinks and food in accordance with the customers' requests.
Keep the bar area clean and sanitised.
Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking fridges, maintaining supplies, food, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies and performing preventive maintenance and if needed, calling for repairs.
Enhance the coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
About You We are looking for someone who is a natural when comes to dealing with customers, clients and other team members.
Someone who loves the coffee culture and lives to see that smile on the customers face!
Though it is essential to have solid understanding of operating and adjusting coffee machines as well as grinders from extraction to cleaning.
Likewise the ability to independently prepare coffee is essential.
