### Senior Project Officer AO6 – State Government Client

Osborne Richardson is proud to partner with our State Government client in seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer AO6 to deliver operational support and client-facing initiatives. This is a hybrid role requiring some travel within South East Queensland, with an initial contract through the end of the financial year and possible extension opportunities.
About the Role
You will coordinate the implementation of our State Government client's projects, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, commitments, and goals. You will provide guidance and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic and short-term projects to achieve business performance improvements.
This role reports to the Director of the Government Product Agency and plays a vital part in driving project outcomes across educational and operational portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level project management by contributing to the end-to-end delivery of significant and complex projects, applying well-developed research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including industry, community, education, and government partners, to ensure project success.
- Provide progress updates and advice on project milestones, ensuring activities meet organisational and contractual requirements within set priorities and timelines.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, acting as an escalation point where needed and ensuring timely follow-up on mitigation actions.
- Utilise cloud-based project management systems to monitor and track progress, ensuring transparency and efficiency in project execution.
- Lead and support project governance, including preparing meeting agendas, reports, and minutes, and monitoring action items through to completion.
- Maintain a high standard of quality in project delivery, adhering to organisational systems and seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
- Independently manage day-to-day project administration while maintaining focus on agreed outcomes.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Director of the Product Agency.
About You

- Proven experience in managing complex projects in a client-facing, operational support capacity.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with cloud-based project management systems and governance practices.
- A high level of autonomy and initiative in project delivery.
- Experience in Education or Government sectors is highly desirable.
