A unique WHS consulting opportunity exists within our Health and Safety Consulting practice in Sydney.The Safety Consultant role reports to the Managing H&S Consultant and is within a team of specialist consultants who deliver WHS services including risk assessments, incident investigations, workplace inspections and providing advice and support to clients on all matters relating to WHS.The role will work with providing health and safety advice and consulting services for medium to enterprise sized clients from a broad range of industries in the public and private sector. We will count on you to: Provide Health and Safety consulting and risk management services to Marsh clients and internal Marsh teams in the form of: Providing WHS advice including compliance and legislative updates. Completing technical risk assessments and associated reporting. Developing and/or delivering WHS training. Development and review of WHS management systems and/or documents. Undertaking WHS site and system audits and other WHS support services as required. Deliver written and verbal reports/advice that is of high quality, technical accuracy, and timeliness for client. Maintain strong day to day relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Follow, promote, and facilitate the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with the Marsh operational requirements. When performing work or SME function on projects, support the allocated Project Manager in executing allocated tasks or deliverables as assigned and in a timely manner. Support the team to implement WHS IT systems for clients. What you need to have: Tertiary degree in Work Health and Safety, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) or any relevant field (minimum Cert IV WHS + relevant experience will be considered). 2-3 years + experience in WHS advisory or related role is desirable. Sound working knowledge of WHS and Safety legislation. Sound understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply these principles in the management of WHS hazards. Skills in Safety Management Systems and WHS Management Systems Development. Experience in Incident reporting and investigation. WHS Auditing. Thorough knowledge of ISO 45001.
