You will partner with centre managers and operational leaders to support injured team members and their managers in achieving a safe, sustainable, and timely return to work.A key focus of this role is to drive injury prevention strategies, addressing organisational risk factors such as manual handling and psychosocial hazards, while proactively working to reduce the severity, duration, and frequency of workplace injuries and associated workers' compensation claims.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert guidance to leaders and managers on injury and claims management strategies, ensuring best practice approaches to timely and sustainable rehabilitation.Coach and influence leadership teams to build capability in supporting injured team members and improving return-to-work outcomes.Develop and implement claims management strategies that minimize financial exposure, reduce workers' compensation costs, and enhance injury management effectiveness.Attend GP case conferences and worksite assessments to ensure suitable duties and return-to-work plans align with medical advice and workplace capabilities.Build strong relationships with insurers, medical and allied health professionals to facilitate optimal recovery outcomes for injured employees.Actively engage with injured team members on-site, providing guidance, support, and motivation throughout their rehabilitation process.Partner with internal stakeholders to identify key injury trends and implement targeted prevention strategies.Champion a risk-based approach to workplace safety by coaching safe behaviors, setting clear standards, and fostering a culture of accountability.Completion of payroll for claims within area of responsibility to ensure claimants are paid accurately in accordance with entitlements.Manage the Workcover and RRTW process (from claim lodgment to finalisation) and provide support in other states when required.Maintain the claims management system ensuring that all data recorded is accurate and up to date.About You3+ years of demonstrated experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury or claims management.Tertiary qualifications as an allied health professional such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology or related field.In-depth knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation scheme.The ability to effectively influence others to achieve important business outcomes.The ability to negotiate and mediate with all stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes related to injury and rehabilitation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience training, coaching, and developing others.Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.Benefits at G8Competitive salary package.Car Allowance, fuel card, and eTag provided.Career development opportunities as part of a large ASX-listed company.Access a 50% discount on early education and childcare fees at any G8 Education Centre.Exclusive access to our G8 Rewards Program with benefits across more than 600 retailers, exclusive cash discounts, and more!Find out more here: G8 Education Our Recruitment ProcessG8 Education is a committed advocate for child protection, safety, and wellbeing.
