Your role
Reporting to the Wyong Site Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating the engineering capital strategy across the Woodcare and Protective Coatings businesses, and for the ongoing reliability of plant and equipment at the Wyong site through preventative and corrective maintenance regimes that optimize equipment utilization. You will lead a team of 5 direct reports consisting of Maintenance Fitters, Electricians, Maintenance Planners and contractors in an effort to support productivity, efficiency, and business continuity of the site. Leveraging your engineering background in site maintenance will be key to your success in this role as will be your aspiration to progress into a site management leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, articulate and implement overall engineering & maintenance strategy for site operations.
2. Generate and use knowledge of production and maintenance to identify and deliver opportunities for improvements in capacity, technology and equipment.
3. Develop team and source resources to ensure the site has the required skills and knowledge to manage the Engineering & Maintenance site workload.
4. Manage capital expenditure and maintenance budgets.

Skills & Experience
1. Bachelor of Engineering and significant experience in leadership role of an engineering or maintenance team.
2. Technical knowledge in liquid/high speed packaging equipment and robotics is advantageous.
3. Working knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems.
4. Continuous improvement mindset with ability to drive change and improve engagement.
5. Knowledge of safety protocols, processes, and systems preferably in a process safety industry.
