About the Company
Davidson is partnering with a leading Geelong based Victorian Government-owned organisation to deliver an essential HRIS uplift project. This initial 12-month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact initiative focused on modernising the organisation’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The successful delivery of this project will play a key role in the organisation's future workforce management, paving the way for a new platform to be implemented in 2025.
About the Role
As the Project Manager for the HRIS Uplift project, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the initiative, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the planning and execution of the HRIS uplift project, from defining project scope to realising desired business outcomes.
* Shaping the HRIS strategy based on industry best practices and business needs, ensuring it supports the future state of employee management.
* Conducting a comprehensive review of current HR processes to identify pain points and define the requirements for an integrated HRIS platform.
* Developing business cases and overseeing the procurement process, including vendor selection for both the new HRIS platform and implementation partners.
* Managing project risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear and consistent communication with senior leadership.
* Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment, mentoring team members to ensure successful project delivery.
About You
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong track record in delivering business transformation projects. You will need to demonstrate:
* Significant experience in senior project management, with a focus on leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and teams.
* Proven ability to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring quality and mitigating risks.
* Expertise in developing and implementing HRIS strategies, with a deep understanding of business architecture and HR technology landscapes.
* PRINCE2 and/or Agile certification, with a strong grasp of project methodologies and reporting standards.
* Demonstrated success in building high-performing, cross-functional teams, coaching and guiding them to achieve high levels of collaboration and performance.
* Experience working in government, insurance, health, or disability sectors is highly desirable.
