Job description: ABOUT THE POSITION Our business seeks an experienced Senior Engineer Process for a maximum two-year contract working on a Monday to Friday roster at our Kwinana plant. This role will be working within our Ramp-up team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the process design. This role is perfect for someone who makes sound decisions based on a mix of analysis and experience, and who can bring creative ideas forward using rigorous logic to solve problems. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Employs specific, relevant engineering expertise and leadership to meet TLEA's technical expectations. Applies an understanding of process engineering terminology, theory, unit operations and activities. Ensure process design takes into consideration all interfaces with other disciplines - mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil. Develops design scopes of work for engineering contractors as required, focusing on the problem definition. Subsequently, obtains and checks design deliverables (documents and drawings) from engineering contractors. Reviews all related engineering design documentation and seek assistance from other disciplines as required during design reviews. Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk-informed decisions, and builds a risk-aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. Provides technical expertise in responding to technical queries during design and construction. Supports commissioning of projects through documentation and planning. Coordinates closure of projects with final as-built design documentation. Contributes to failure investigations and root-cause analysis. Assists in development of process engineers and technicians. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor degree or higher (Chemical Engineer). 10+ years' professional experience within the industry or similar. Operating and design experience in similar refinery processes. Committed and practical approach to safety and well-being of all staff. Good analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience in a process engineering design team. Experience in project management from design through to commissioning. Experience with failure investigations and root cause analysis. HOW DO I APPLY?
