About the Role: The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the Site Supervisors across various projects, and will be fully responsible for the planning, organizing and managing of the assigned project site(s).
Operational
1. Manage a team of 4-6 Site Supervisors.
2. Review the project plans, schedule and specifications, and comment on the construction design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures, and potential construction problems.
3. Forecast operational requirements, allocate labor and trade resources on assigned projects; and ensure labor is used to optimum performance.
4. Monitor performance of construction crew and subcontractors, and ensure performance is aligned to scope of works.
5. In conjunction with Construction Manager, attend site meetings, liaise with clients, contractors, or subcontractors to discuss projects, and resolve issues.
6. Scheduling ordering materials and quantity takeoffs.
7. Monitor cost control and liaise with Construction Manager on potential issues.
8. Identify, analyze and report on variations.
OHSE&Q Management
1. Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
2. In conjunction with Site Supervisors, maintain control and responsibility for the security and operations of company owned vehicles, equipment, plant and tools.
3. Maintain and enforce high-quality construction standards and quality control of OH&S practices.
4. Ensure commercial in confidence information and documentation is secured at all times.
5. Ensure Clients management systems are implemented across assigned projects; and/or recommend potential changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
The Successful Candidate Will Likely Have
1. 5 or more years' field experience in a similar role.
2. Civil Engineering Degree.
3. Must have Bridge and Concrete Structure experience.
4. Able to manage multiple projects across South Australia.
5. Excellent supervision, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools.
8. Knowledge of Australian Construction industry's applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
9. This is a full-time position and remuneration will be based on your skills and experience.
10. You need to be able to meet any requirements which are necessary to safely perform your role (e.g. receiving a COVID-19 vaccination pursuant to a relevant Health Order Or By Clients, Or As Otherwise Required).
